The Cover Drive 18 is one8's cricket batting spike, co-created with Virat Kohli. It comes in two builds for two kinds of innings: the Pro, tuned for the modern batter's balance and footwork, and the X, built for the fast, high-octane T20 game. Both are made to plant, pivot and drive on Indian pitches.

Cover Drive 18 Pro: for the modern batter
The Pro is for the player who bats long and moves with intent. The priority is balance and clean footwork, a platform you can trust as you get to the pitch of the ball and transfer your weight through the shot. It is the spike for building an innings the right way.
Cover Drive 18 X: built for T20
The X is for the shortest format, where the game is quicker and the margins are sharper. It is built for explosive movement and rapid changes of pace, the kind of innings where every yard counts double.
The technology
Both shoes run one8's cricket stack: a Sonic Grip outsole tuned for traction on turf, Ghillie lacing so you can dial in the hold across the foot, a synthetic overlay for structure where the shoe takes load, PWR+LCK to keep your foot locked in through quick movement, and the Functional Boom shank underfoot for stability when you brace and drive. Sonic Foam carries the cushioning so the last over feels like the first.
Pro or X: which should you choose?
Bat through the innings and value balance and footwork? Take the Pro. Play the fast format and want a shoe built for explosive movement? Take the X. Both sit at the top of the one8 cricket range, built to a spec that matches what they are asked to do.
Caring for your spikes
Knock the dirt off the outsole after play, let them air-dry away from direct heat, and check the spikes and lacing before each match. Looked after, a good pair earns its place across a full season.
